We didn’t want a manicured lawn dog field. This type of field would offer little interest or distraction for a high prey drive dog like Dexter. At just under an acre our dog field has a mixture of topped grass and areas of longer grass, left uncut, for lots of sniffing and scenting.
There is a tyre digging pit, logs to walk across, a big boulder and basic agility jumps, tunnel and weave poles. We also have a toy “library” for added enrichment. All we ask is that everything is left in the field when you leave.
For those of you more interested in training, we have provided a place board for your use and two “peg posts” to drop your leads over to secure your dog(s) whilst setting up retrieves etc.
There is a mains water trough, and a paddling pool for cooling off in. We have also provided a poo bin so you don’t have to take your dog poo home with you.
A shelter, umbrellas and picnic bench are provided.
